Alfred Equitz has practiced intellectual property law for more than 26 years. The focus of his practice is the protection and licensing of high technology.
Mr. Equitz graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with BS degrees in Physics and Mathematics, and received an MS degree in Physics from the University of Wisconsin. After receiving his JD degree from the University of Michigan, he practiced as a patent attorney for Exxon Production Research Company in Houston, and then for Limbach & Limbach LLP in San Francisco (becoming a partner of the Limbach firm in 1991). Mr. Equitz is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Areas of Practice:
Intellectual Property, including obtaining patent protection for inventions, licensing of intellectual property, and advising clients as to patent scope and validity and advantageous use of intellectual property assets.
