Omar has been practicing law in the Bay Area since 2002, and has substantial experience in numerous and varied litigation and transactional matters, which include business litigation, real estate, landlord-tenant, probate, personal injury, and immigration.
In the field of civil litigation, he has successfully litigated cases pertaining to commercial real estate disputes, employment, contract dispute, debt collection, sales of businesses, and landlord-tenant dispute in Alameda County, San Francisco County, and Santa Clara County Superior Courts, and has handled trust and probate litigation matters in San Mateo County Superior Court and San Francisco.
In the field of immigration, he has successfully litigated political asylum and removal defense matters in the San Francisco Immigration Court, as well as representing clients in connection with numerous successful applications and petitions (both business and family-related) submitted to United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Omar has been an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 2004.
Omar was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, graduating from Bellarmine College Preparatory in San Jose in 1994. He received his B.A. in Communications, cum laude, in 1998 and his Juris Doctorate in 2002, both from the University of San Francisco. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, Omar received the James J. Gill Award from the University of San Francisco for his achievements in the dramatic arts. As a law student, he studied international human rights law during a summer study abroad program at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
His personal pursuits include enjoying time with his family, reading, music, film, and yoga.
